Home/Aerothermal/Buffer Tanks & Storage

Aerothermal · Buffer & storage

Buffer tanks and thermal storage in Valencia — stability your heat pump can feel.

The right buffer stops short-cycling, protects the compressor and lets cheap tariff hours do the heavy lifting — installed and integrated from €790.

In plain terms

Small tank, long consequences.

A heat pump that starts and stops every few minutes wears out early and never reaches efficiency. A correctly sized buffer gives it room to run properly — and gives you a place to store the cheapest hours of your tariff.

Questions, answered

Asked before hiring us.

Do I always need a buffer tank?

No — and honest sizing sometimes says so. A well-matched single-zone underfloor system may not need one; small zones and radiator circuits usually do. We calculate rather than default.

Buffer tank or bigger hot water tank?

Different jobs: the buffer serves your heating circuits; the hot water tank serves your taps. They are sized separately — sometimes combined in one cylinder when space demands it.

What size do I need?

Enough volume for the unit's minimum runtime against your smallest zone — typically 50–200 litres. The calculation comes with the quotation.

Will a buffer save electricity?

Its first job is stability and equipment life. With time-of-use tariffs it also shifts consumption into cheap hours — a saving you can schedule.

Where does it fit?

Slim, tall formats fit most technical rooms and utility cupboards; we confirm exact dimensions at the survey before anything is ordered.
