Foundations and groundwork in Valencia — everything above trusts what's below.
The one part of a build you can't revisit: soil read by geotechnics, rebar placed to drawing, drainage installed before it's needed — from €190/m², photographed layer by layer.
Is this you
This page matters if…
A new build or extension starts soon
The plot slopes — or floods in gota fría
An old structure needs new support
A basement or pool goes below grade
Neighbouring builds met surprises
You want photos of what gets buried
In plain terms
Every building stands on a decision made in the soil.
Valencia's ground varies street by street: clays that swell, sands that shift, rock that blunts excavators. The geotechnical study reads yours; the foundation design answers it — slab, footings or piles — and the execution gets photographed, because this layer never gets a second visit.

How it works
From soil study to slab.
Geotechnical study
Boreholes and analysis — the ground read.
Design & set-out
Foundation engineered; site staked.
Excavation & rebar
Dug, formed, steel placed and inspected.
Pour & cure
Concrete placed, tested and cured properly.
Why VELTORRA
Below-grade discipline.
Soil-led design
Footings, slab or piles — the study decides, not habit.
Rebar to drawing
Placement checked and photographed pre-pour.
Concrete certified
Strengths tested by cube, documented.
Waterproofing below
Membranes and tanking where water will one day ask.
Drainage built in
Perimeter drains placed while trenches exist.
The price
The invisible layer, honestly priced.
From €190/m² of built area for standard conditions; the geotechnical study prices your soil's truth before design commits. Rock and water are surprises only once.

Questions, answered
Asked before hiring us.
What do foundations cost in Valencia?
From €190/m² of built area in standard soil; the geotechnical study — a few hundred euros — fixes the design and price honestly before commitment. It's the cheapest insurance in construction.
Is a geotechnical study really necessary?
For anything structural, yes — it's the difference between designing for your soil and guessing at it. Valencia's ground varies enormously; the study costs less than one surprise.
How long do foundations take?
Typically two to four weeks including curing — concrete's timetable, not ours. Rushing cure times is how cracks are born; we don't.
What about water in the ground?
The study finds it first; drainage and tanking answer it. Water managed at foundation stage is plumbing; discovered later, it's archaeology.
Can I see what gets buried?
You'll have it forever — rebar, membranes and drains photographed before every pour. The invisible layer, permanently visible.
