How much does an AC gas refill cost?
The visit and leak test start at €70; refrigerant itself is priced per gram by gas type and quoted before charging. Beware of flat 'refill' prices — they usually skip the leak entirely.
Why not just top up every summer?
Because the leak keeps leaking: the compressor runs stressed, bills climb, and the escaping gas is a regulated greenhouse emission. Finding the leak once is cheaper than renting gas annually.
My unit uses R22 — can you refill it?
R22 is banned from service; topping it up is illegal. We'll verify the gas type and give you honest options — usually a well-priced replacement of the circuit or unit.
How do you know how much gas to add?
We don't guess by gauges — we recover, vacuum and weigh in the exact factory charge from the nameplate. It's the only method that restores design performance.
Is refrigerant handling regulated?
Yes — recovery, handling and disposal require certification, which our technicians hold. You receive documentation with the work.
